PORTLAND — More than 200 University of Southern Maine students, faculty and staff have observed a moment of silence for the victims of the bombings at the Boston Marathon.
The school held gatherings at its Portland, Gorham and Lewiston-Auburn campuses at noon Wednesday for people to observe a moment of silence, stand in solidarity for the victims and share their thoughts. Monday’s bombings at the marathon finish line killed three and injured more than 170.
Bates College also held a gathering Wednesday at the college chapel to allow people on campus to share their thoughts about the bombings.
