Black-and-white photographs of Portland, Maine by photographer Jan Pieter van Voorst van Beest will be part of the exhibit at Mallett Hall.

POWNAL — Andrea and Jan Pieter van Voorst van Beest will open their exhibit of photographs, paintings and etchings with a reception from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at Mallett Hall. Jan Pieter will show black-and-white photographs of Portland, Maine, while Andrea will show oil paintings and etchings.

The exhibit will be in conjunction with the “Keep Me Warm” concert organized by Bradbury Mountain Arts which will start at 7:30 p.m. immediately following the exhibit’s reception. The concert will feature the group Meteora playing folk, Celtic, traditionals and blues, and Jamie Pearson, an accomplished musician from England.

The art exhibit opening is free. Admission to the concert is $10. The proceeds of the concert as well as 20 percent of art sales will go toward Pownal residents in need of fuel assistance.

Both events will take place at Mallett Hall in Pownal Center, three miles north on Route 9 from North Yarmouth, or five miles west of Freeport heading toward Bradbury Mountain State Park.

Andrea van Voorst van Beest will show her oil paintings and etchings at Mallett Hall.
