DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for “The America Eagle,” a book written by one of Lewiston’s older lawyers, Philip Isaacson, published by Little Brown Co., Boston, in 1975 or 1977. I want a 210-page hardcover book with dustcover.

ANSWER: There are many copies of this book available online, but the price varies widely, from $5 to more than $200 on eBay.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I hope you can help me find a song. It’s the background piano music for the commercial for Ally Bank. I would like the name of the song and if I can buy in on a CD. I just love that song and would appreciate any information on it that you can provide. Or maybe one of your readers will know. — No Name, Auburn

ANSWER: Sun Spots cannot be sure she’s right, but if you are talking about the commercial where a person is replaced by a blender, it looks like that song is “The Old Country” piano waltz by Daniel May.

Sun Spots did not have any luck finding it on a CD. You might want to call Bull Moose Music in the Lewiston Mall (784-6463) and see if they can help you track it down.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I noticed while watching old movies that the names of make-up artists have appeared: Bud Westmore, Wally Westmore, and Perc Westmore. I was wondering if they were related? — Henry Aliberti, Auburn

ANSWER: Yes, they are related. Wikipedia says:

The Westmore Family is a prominent family in Hollywood make-up. Led by their patriarch, George Westmore, the family has had four generations serve Hollywood as make-up artists in various capacities since George’s establishment of Hollywood’s first make-up department in 1917.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have many trophies in great condition that I no longer want. I hate to just toss in the garbage and was wondering if Sun Spots knew of any organizations that would recycle them and possibly use them to pass on to other athletes. — No Name via email

ANSWER: The John F. Murphy Homes will take old trophies and reuse them. They are at 800 Center St., Auburn, 782-2726.
