Donald Bilodeau of Mechanic Falls hands used electronics to Community Credit Union volunteer Christina Carter for recycling Saturday at the fifth annual Community Recycle Day in Auburn. “I think it’s been another very successful year,” Community Credit Union President and CEO Kerry Wood said. “People have been very thankful because it’s hard to get rid of this stuff.” The bank will know in the next couple of weeks how much was collected. Saturday also marked the start of Lewiston’s annual spring cleanup week, during which Lewiston residents can drop certain items, at no charge, at the Solid Waste Facility at 424 River Road through April 27.
