RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Lucy Day of Rumford was celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 20, at the Parish of The Holy Savior St. Athanasius — St. John Church, with The Rev. Robert Vaillancourt as the Celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar assistant. Mark Belanger was the organist. Musical selections included “Hosea,” “Ave Maria,” “We Will Rise Again,” “On Eagles’ Wings.” Readings were proclaimed by Richard Austin and Joe Salatino. Prayer Of The Faithful was offered by Roxanne Gorham. Presenting gifts to the altar were Jimmy and Joe Salatino. Eulogy was given by her husband, Richard Day. A reception was served by the Daughters of Isabella in the church hall. Interment will be in the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. Arrangements were under the direction of the MEADER & SON FUNERAL HOME, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
