DEAR SUN SPOTS: The town of Sumner’s Recreation Committee is looking for someone who may have a hot dog steamer that they are no longer using and would be willing to donate. We would love to be able to serve hot dogs during summer softball games for children and parents in the Oxford County area.

We have limited funds, so we are hoping to find one that someone is no longer using. Our games begin at the end of June. We look forward to hearing from someone. Please call 388-2173 if you can help. Thank you. — No Name via email

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am in need of a large used dog kennel in good condition. It should be large enough to accommodate a German shepherd-sized dog. I am willing to pay a reasonable price. Thank you once again for your help. — squozeme1@yahoo.com

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am in search of cotton fabric that has lupines or lady slippers on it. The design has to fit in a 2 1/2-inch square. Scraps are OK. I am also looking for any Maine-themed fabric with same size design.

I’m willing to pay and pickup. I make catnip toys; some of which I have donated to animal shelters so they can raise money. Call or text me at 418-2433. — Laurie, Dixfield

DEAR SUN SPOTS: You asked for additional sources of beeswax hand cream (April 15). I sell a wonderful local one made by Nick and Bertha Kelley of Rumford.

They sell it through my store (I can also ship it) at Red Hill Natural Foods, 228 Waldo St., Rumford, ME 04276, 207-369-9141. The retail is $3.50 a jar. — Barbara Smith-Baker, owner, redhillfoods@yahoo.com

DEAR SUN SPOTS: You recently printed a list of providers of beeswax hand cream. I was on that list, but my phone number has changed. It is now 207-418-2433.

I also prefer to use the email tayloredcrafts@yahoo.com as opposed to trickyfishtrickyfish@yahoo.com, although both of these work. Thank you. —Laurie Taylor, Dixfield

DEAR SUN SPOTS: For No Name using Goo Gone (April 16), try Magic Eraser. It works on almost anything. They used it at a local bottling plant to take the glue off glass bottles. I have used it to take glue off my mirrors. — No Name, Auburn

DEAR SUN SPOTS: For the individual looking for something to remove sticky residue (April 16), I have had good results with WD-40. — Mr. Fixit

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The lady wishing to remove glue from her windows should try acetone (nail polish remover is the same thing). Acetone can be bought at most hardware stores.

It is also great for stickers that stores put on their products. I used it on countertops that I have installed to remove excess glue. Try it; you’ll like it. — Ron Dubuc, greywuff@aol.com

DEAR SUNSPOTS: This is a very special thank you to Sheryl Letourneau. This lady and I were bidding on the same beautiful necklace, earrings and bracelet jewelry set on the auction table at the Chocol-art.

Sheryl won the auction and came to me offering to give me the necklace from this set because she knew that was the piece I was interested in. Not only did she give it to me, but she would not accept any kind of payment.

Again, this proves there are angels walking among us. Thank you, Sheryl! — Claire E. Gosselin, jgosselin91948@roadrunner.com
