FARMINGTON — A poetry celebration hosted by Literacy Volunteers of Franklin and Somerset Counties and the Farmington Public Library starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the library.
Residents are welcome to participate in an interactive poetry reading featuring the winners of the first Literacy Volunteers Poetry Contest.
Six local poets will read their winning poems at the event. It is being held on the anniversary of Shakespeare’s 449th birthday.
Contest judge Rachel Contreni Flynn selected the following winners for the poetry contest: Emery Goff, Philip Anthony Hewitt, Leah Kuehn, Isaiah Milliard, Sarah Neal and Sarah Ryan. Other winners will be announced during the reception.
Refreshments and prizes will be awarded. All are welcome to attend.
