LEWISTON — Regina St. Germain, 95, of Cassell Street, passed away peacefully April 21, at her home.
She was born in Berlin, N.H., Sept. 10, 1917, to Joseph and Emma (Langlois) Demers and grew up and attended Berlin schools.
She was the widow of Maxime St. Germain, whom she married in February 1937, and who died in 1991.
A homemaker for all of her life, she also cared for and help raise two children in the 1960s when she and her husband moved to Lewiston in 1960. In 1984, they moved to Gorham, N.H., returning back to Lewiston in 2000.
A person who loved people, she was a great cook and housekeeper and enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, and Frances Irene Beaulieu.
She is survived by her daughter, Louise Samson of Lewiston; her son, Donald and wife, Jeannette, of Gorham, N.H.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Fred Demers of Dummer, N.H.; her three sisters, Germaine Ayotte of Gorham, N.H., Olivette Untiet of Berlin, N.H., and Jean Roy of Manchester, N.H.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Beside her husband, she was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank-you to the Androscoggin Home Hospice and a special love to Keena, Kathleen, Crystal and Karen.
