DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Lewiston Public Library is looking for a donation of Legos in good condition to be played with in the Children’s Room. — David Moorhead, dmoorhead@lewistonmaine.gov, 513-3133

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I wonder if any of your readers in Auburn or Lewiston would be willing to donate “gently used” copies of their Sun Journal to be used for bird-cage paper.

I have a number of rehomed/rescued parrots I took in about a decade ago, and my one subscription to the Sun Journal is not enough for frequent paper changes.

Unfortunately, the people who used to donate in the past no longer have subscriptions. If you contact me, we can pick them up from your home.

Paper cannot be exposed to cats or cigarette smoke due to allergies. Please email me or call 782-7748. Thanks in advance. It is greatly appreciated by my birds and me. — Ellen, empp126@gmail.com

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I need to ride-share to work at Bates in Lewiston from the Rumford area three days a week for about a month. I can’t share the driving yet, but I will pay for gas. My hours can be tailored to the driver’s. — Alice, Rumford, 418-1573

DEAR SUN SPOTS: This is my first time writing to you, but I do read Sun Spots every day. You do good work.

I have a question for you. Do you know if there is a sister who has taken on the good deeds of Sister Gilberte Boisvert in Massachusetts? I’ve been saving stamps since before Christmas. I hate to throw them away if they can help someone.

Thank you for your help with this post. — Mechanic Falls reader
