RUMFORD — Rita B. Arsenault, 90, of Swain Brook Apartments, Rumford, died Thursday, April 25, at the Rumford Hospital.

She was born in Rumford on June 21, 1922, the daughter of Adelard and Julia Descoteaux. She attended Rumford schools and worked in the Match Box Department of the Diamond Match Mill in Dixfield for many years.

Rita was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius – St. John Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Le Paresseux Snowshoe Club.

She was married in Rumford to the late John J. Arsenault.

Survivors include sons, Gary Arsenault and wife, Debbie, of Natick, Mass., and Wayne Arsenault and his fiancée, Christine Murphy, of Rumford; stepdaughter Jacqueline Arsenault Vienneau of Chochester, Vt.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Eric, Stacey, Jeffrey, Ami Jo, Gary Jr., Kristin and Amanda; step-grandchildren, Carson, Shaina and Joelle; and many great-grandchildren.
