NORWAY — The members and friends of the Second Congregational Church, U.C.C. will welcome Rev. Susie Craig to lead worship, serve communion and join in fellowship at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 5.
A native of northern New Jersey and a graduate of Yale Divinity School, Rev. Craig served the First Congregational Church of Greenwich, Conn., for 20 years. In 2007, she moved to Maine and for the past six years has served as the Associate Conference Minister for the Maine Conference of the United Church of Christ.
Pam Davison, church moderator, said, “Since moving to Maine, Rev. Craig has become a good friend of the Second Congregational Church. And even before moving to Maine, Rev. Craig made some very special Maine connections. She has been a counselor and co-dean at Pilgrim Lodge, and has participated in mission trips to Honduras and to H.O.M.E. Coop in Orland.”
As Associate Conference Minister, Rev. Craig brings a wealth of experiences to her work with the Maine Conference State Youth Council and middle school programs. Her other responsibilities include overseeing interim ministers, Search and Call, being liaison to the Academy for Congregational Life and Leadership and being staff liaison to four of the 10 Church and Ministry Committees of the Maine Conference United Church of Christ.
At the Second Congregational Church, U.C.C., at 205 Main St., all are invited to join in worship, study and fellowship. Sunday worship and church school are at 10 a.m. Child care is available.
