People may be asking where was God when the Boston Marathon was bombed, killing some and injuring many others. In the beginning of time, God made a world free of evil, sickness and death. Humans were also given free will and were to live happily on Earth and eventually possess eternal life.

God tested the free will of our first parents and they disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden. They listened to the devil instead. That is when humankind lost the supernatural gifts given to humanity. Evilness, sickness and death entered the world.

We have seen the consequences of that bad choice ever since.

Daily choices people make influence others around them, for good or evil. It is not God causing the evilness. Humans bear the consequences of good or evil done by others. That is why God cannot interfere, preventing evils from happening.

We often learn from our mistakes so not to make the same mistake. That is not punishment from God.

Jesus Christ came to Earth to restore the supernatural gifts God had given humanity from the beginning of time by his own life, death and resurrection. It is up to each person to choose to follow him or not. God does not want the obedience of robots, but of people free to know, love and serve him and be with him forever in happiness of heavenly glory.
