SALEM TOWNSHIP — State police are investigating a domestic dispute that involved a shotgun being discharged in a yard Monday morning. No one was injured.

There are charges, Sgt. Jeffrey Beach said, but he declined to release them until the investigation is completed, probably Tuesday.

State Police Trooper Keith Barton responded to the report at 9:15 a.m. Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies also responded to assist. When police arrived, the person reportedly shooting the gun was cooperative and gave the firearm to police, Beach said.

There are adults and juveniles involved in the incident, Beach said.
