1923 – 2013

NORWAY — Erma R. Hatch, 90, of Norway and Waterford, passed away on Monday, April 29, at Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center.

She was born in Albany, on Feb. 27, 1923, daughter of Herbert A. and Edith (Rugg) Rich.

She worked for many years as a shoe worker and also worked at Cornwall Wood Products and Oxford Marketing. She was a member of the Waterford Grange No. 479.

Erma loved spending time with her family, cooking, including fudge and making cakes for all occasions, flowers, and going on trips, especially to the ocean and Portland Head Light.

She is survived by her children, Linda Hatch and special friend, Fred Fox, Sandra Bumpus and husband, Richard; seven granddaughters; one grandson; 13
great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Vivian I. Hatch, in 1961; brother, Alton Rich; half brother, Henry Damon; half sister, Beatrice Levesque; and daughter, Claudia Hatch Graves.

The family would like to thank the staff at Norway Rehabilitation and Living Center for the wonderful care they provided for Erma.
