FARMINGTON — It was a night to honor the Class of 2013 scholars and recognize their achievements.

The RSU 9 school board held a reception Tuesday night for the top 12 graduating seniors, the top two students who graduated in January and the Foster Regional Career and Technical Education Center Student of the Year.

It was a chance for directors to meet students and to hear what they planned to do after graduation.

The valedictorian and salutatorian will not be named until after the end of the fourth quarter, Monique Poulin, Mt. Blue High School principal, said.

This is the best time of the year when they start seeing students and their accomplishments, Poulin and Glenn Kapiloff, director of Foster, said.

It all starts with pre-kindergarten teachers and goes all the way through to graduation, Poulin said.
