1951 – 2013

Auburn – Jennie E. (Hamilton) Billings, 62, of Lewiston, died on Wednesday, May 1, at the Auburn Hospice House.

She was born in Lewiston on March 3, 1951, daughter of the late Russell & Esther (Strout) Hamilton. She grew up in Lewiston, attending local area schools and then went on to attend Oxford Hills High School.

Jennie enjoyed playing cards and reading, and was a huge Elvis fan. She also adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandson, Jace. 

She is survived by her four children, Larry “Butch” Billings Jr. and his wife, Megan, of Rumford, Debra Cote and her husband, Tim, of Minot, Cindy Noyes and her companion, Johnny Plourde, of New Gloucester, and Donald Billings of Mechanic Falls; her fourteen grandchildren; and her great grandson. She also leaves a brother, Paul Saucier and his wife, Diane, of Norway; three special nieces, Debra, Linda and Amy, and many more nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her daughter, Paula Billings, who died at birth; and brothers, Sonny Saucier and Russell “Harley” Hamilton.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Auburn Hospice House and Russell Park for their attentive and compassionate care of Jennie.
