AUBURN — Joanne E. Pomerleau Pelletier, 67, of 25 Demi Circle, Lewiston, died Friday, May 3, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
Joanne was born in Lewiston on May 13, 1945, a daughter of the late George and Jane Couture Pomerleau. She graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1963, and married Gerard (Stu) Beaulieu, who died in 1991.
Joanne was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Cross Church and worked as a stitcher at Billen Shoe for over 20 years. She also worked as a waitress at Happy Jack’s Restaurant.
She enjoyed making people happy, music, dancing, Friday night “girls’ night out” and following sports.
Joanne will be remembered for her infectious smile, boundless energy, love of life, her kindred, giving spirit and being “a friend’s friend.”
She is survived by her husband, Virgil G. Cataldi of Lewiston, whom she married September 13, 2007; a daughter, Debbie Beaulieu of Brunswick; four grandchildren, Amy and Matt Michaud, Brittany Bergeron and Olivia Brooks; two great-grandchildren, Jayden St. Jean and Jaylee Bolduc; her step-grandchildren, Virgil Cataldi II and Kimberley Cataldi White; her step-great-grandson, Jacob White; her two sisters, Joyce Ouellette and husband, Paul, of Lewiston, and Donna LeClerc and husband, Guy, of Turner; her three brothers, Robert Pomerleau and wife, Roberta, of Elliot, Danny Pomerleau and companion, Sue Bone, of Mechanic Falls, John Pomerleau and wife, Rachel, of Dover, N.H.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Michaud; her husband, Stu Beaulieu; and a brother, Jimmy Pomerleau.
