The Sun Journal reported in April 2012 that Lewiston firefighters were being cautious about entering 54 vacant buildings downtown because of the hazardous conditions inside. The city’s current list of vacant/abandoned residential buildings has since climbed to 103. More information will be published as it becomes available.
