The 2013 River Valley Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet took place Thursday, April 25 at 49 Franklin in Rumford. Once again everyone raved about the fabulous cuisine provided by 49 Franklin. After the great meal, the guest speaker, Andy Shepard from the Maine Winter Sports Center (affiliated with Black Mt. Ski resort), did a wonderful job speaking about the supportive Rumford/River Valley community and the success of the mountain.

There were many items that were given as door prizes (donated by members) and a silent auction and 50/50 raffle that were great successes.

The RVCC meeting took place next and the election of directors was completed.

The awards presentation included, Business of the year: Dead River Co.; Customer Service Award to Ink Plaza; Volunteer of the Year is Jim Rinaldo; and Non-Profit Organization is the Western Foothill Kid’s Association.
