NORWAY — Clare E. Piawlock, 84, died Wednesday, May 8, at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She was a resident of East Bethel.

She was born in Bethel, May 26, 1928, a daughter of Benjamin and Gladys (Bartlett) Tyler. She was a graduate of Gould Academy. She worked at the Casco Bank, bookkeeper for Hanover Dowell Mill in Bethel for many years and also was a self-employed tax consultant.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed crocheting and crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

She was married in East Bethel, July 15, 1951, to James W. Piawlock Sr., who died in East Bethel, Oct. 23, 1982.

Survivors include her children, Terry Piawlock and wife, Linda, of Farmington, Michael Piawlock of Bethel, Wendy Annis and husband, Scott, of Bethel, Brian Piawlock of East Bethel and Brenda Piawlock of Mason Township; a stepdaughter, Carol Chisholm and husband, Richard, of Wellesley, Mass.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edith Smith and husband, Homer, of Northwest Bethel.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Wanda; and a stepson, James Piawlock Jr.
