Elie was a fixture of the Lewiston-Auburn scene back in the 60s and 70s with The Corals and his band, Bob Elie and Fat Cat. Many remember his 48-hour record-breaking drumming marathons performed at Lewiston City Hall and the Rollerdrome in 1964.

Elie will then be a guest at the special tribute for Ed Boucher from 4-10 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at the Royal Oak Room in Lewiston. Boucher’s legendary EAB recording studio was a fixture on Lisbon Street and launching pad for countless musicians from the Lewiston-Auburn area, which became “the” place north of New York for bands in the late 1960s, thanks largely to Boucher’s tireless support. Tickets can be purchased in advance at http://eabtribute.eventbrite.com/.
