RUMFORD — Clean-up of the Lufkin School Museum will be performed from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 25, by the board of directors of the Rumford Historical Society.

Donations for the yard sale, which is planned for June 1, with a rain date of June 8, may be delivered to the Lufkin School on May 25 before noon. No clothes, please.

The Lufkin School Museum will open for the summer season on June 1, at 9 a.m.

Methodist Church Spring Fling sale

RUMFORD — The folks at the Rumford United Methodist Church are preparing for their fifth annual Spring Fling Indoor Yard sale to be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 25, at 455 Linnell St.

This is a church-wide sale so the fellowship all will be full of treasures, large and small, from numerous households. New this year is a used clothing section which will include shoes and bags.

The Bake Table will be well stocked with favorite goodies and the Plant Pavilion will be up and running for spring planting pleasure.

Coffee/tea and fresh muffins will be available throughout the morning.

Snowshoe Club dance is June 1

RUMFORD — The Snowshoe Club will hold a dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 1.

Music will be provided by Noel Palmer and Don Levesque. Members and guests welcome.
