LEWISTON — Members of area veterans’ organizations and the public are invited to attend a service for Armed Forces Day at noon Saturday, May 18, at Lewiston Veterans Memorial Park.
The invocation will be done by the Rev. Steven Crowson, rector, Trinity Episcopal Church. Lewiston Mayor Robert MacDonald will speak on the history of the U.S. Marine Corps. There will also be guest speakers.
“Taps” will be played by Bert Mathieu, vice commander of American Legion Post 22.
All recruiters of local services and state and federal dignitaries are invited.
The service will be held rain or shine.
