AUBURN — Daniel R. Blier II, 46, of Hotel Road, passed away Wednesday, May 15, at his home after a brief period of ill health.
He was born in Lewiston, May 14, 1967, son of Daniel R. “Rocky” Blier and Marie A. Higgins. He was educated in Lewiston schools and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1985.
He was a successful and talented tile installer and businessman, most recently owning Mainely Tile Incorporated.
Danny loved his family and especially adored his niece and nephews. He was proud to come from a large extended family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He enjoyed snowmobiling only on an Arctic Cat and was an avid and loyal Boston sports fan, who loved tailgating Patriots games with his brother and friends.
He is survived by his father of Auburn; his mother of South Portland; a brother, Kevin Blier and wife, Kristin, of Brandon, Vt.; a sister, Angela Blier and her partner, Melissa Rheaume, of South Portland; four nephews, Ethan, Aidan, Collin and Cameron; a niece, Josselyn; 15 aunts and uncles; and more than 250 cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Aurele and Rose Blier.
