1929 – 2013

SABATTUS —   Robert Poulin, 83, of Sabattus, went to be with his maker on May, 15, at Togus VA.

He was born on Aug. 1, 1929, in Lewiston, to parents Rosario and Germaine (Royer) Poulin.

Robert was a member of the American Legion Post 132, the Beano Committee, and the Bowling League at BIW. He enjoyed painting, playing cards, bowling, golfing and listening to gospel music. He especially loved his church family.

Robert was enlisted in the Army from 1949 to 1951 during the Korean War and as a military police officer. Robert worked as a police officer for eight years in Southington, Conn. He also worked for TRW and Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Connecticut and also IAM and BIW in Maine, retiring from BIW.

Surviving him is his wife, Susan (Conley) Poulin; his first wife, Theresa Norwid; two daughters, Nancy Masucci and Maureen Paradis, both of Connecticut; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Patricia Crowder and Karen Ranucci.

He was predeceased by his parents.
