AUBURN —   Vera Lamare, 81, of Auburn, died on May 19, at home.

She was born on Aug. 25, 1931, in Madawaska, the daughter of Philip Sr. and Marie (Saucier) Lamare. Vera attended schools in Madawaska and then in Lewiston at St. Mary’s.

She then went on to work for many years at Continental Mill. After retiring she became the family caregiver. Vera was a member of St. Philip’s Church in Auburn, where she was a communicant.

She is survived by her sisters, Gilmay Lamarre, Joan Labadie, Marie Couillard, Bernice Michel and Ruth Martin; brother, Gilman Lamare; and many nieces and nephews.

Vera was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Philip Lamare Jr., Herman Lamare and Norman Lamare Sr.
