HEBRON — A parents’ information meeting on technology safety will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at Hebron Station Elementary School. The presentation will be offered by Janet Dillingham, educator at Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services, known as REACH in Oxford County and the towns of Bridgton and Harrison. Child care will be provided.
The presentation was created by NetSmartz Workshop, a program of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The goal of the meeting is to answer some of the questions parents are faced with around technology use: How do I talk to my child about Internet safety? How do I protect my child from cyberbullying? What information should my child keep private? How do I keep my child safer from online predators? Where can I report online predators?
REACH provides age-appropriate educational presentations to students throughout Oxford County and the towns of Bridgton and Harrison. Anyone who has questions they would like answered before the presentation or who are not able to attend should call Dillingham at REACH at 743-9777, ext. 4, or email [email protected].
