AUBURN — Therese Lucie (Giguere) Reissfelder, 87, died on May 25, at the Hospice House.

She was born on March 26, 1926, in Lewiston, to George R. and Alma A. Giguere. She married Theodore E. Reissfelder of Center Ossipee, N.H., on April 19, 1963, at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston.

She attended Saints Peter and Paul grammar school in Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1944. After graduation, she worked for New England Telephone & Telegraph as a supervisor in the business office. In 1963, she transferred to the Boston-based Northern Area office to work as an Instructor training new telephone operators. She left New England Telephone & Telegraph in July 1963, to raise her children.

Therese was an active member of St. Philips Catholic Church in Auburn. She was also a long-time member of the Woman’s Literary Union and the WLU Garden Club in Auburn. She was an avid crafter and particularly enjoyed cross-stitching.

Therese is survived by her husband of 50 years, Theodore Reissfelder; her two children; their spouses; and four grandchildren. Tyson P. of Lewiston, his wife, Louise, and their two children, Jillian and Caleb, Tammy A. of Sheridan, Wyo., her husband, Jeffrey, and their two children, Katharine and Nathan; and her two sisters, Georgette Poliquin of Auburn and Pauline Blais of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Henry of Spring Hill, Fla., and Roger Jiggs R.A. Giguere; and a sister, Rosalie, all of Lewiston.
