Central Maine Adaptive Sports 2nd annual golf shootout

AUBURN — Central Maine Adaptive Sports will be holding its second annual golf shootout at Pine Acres Golf Course in Auburn June 21-23. There will be a hole-in-one contest where $100,000 will be at stake. To qualify, purchase ten balls for $10. Top ten closest to the ski pole advance to the finals. You can try as many times as you like. Your ball must be on the green for a measurement to take place.

Chances to qualify: June 21, noon-6 p.m., June 22, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; June 23, 8 a.m.-10 a.m. Finals: June 23, 10:30 a.m.-noon. There is no payment for a hole-in-one in the qualifier. The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society’s 11th annual golf tournament

AUBURN — The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society will be holding its 11th annual four-man scramble Thursday, June 20, at Martindale Country Club, with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. to help raise money for the shelter. The entry fee is $500 per team.

There will be a BBQ at 11:30 a.m. and an awards ceremony after the tournament has ended.

There will be a $5,000 hole-in-one prize, longest drive competition (men’s and women), closest to the pin (men and women), pro shop gift card prizes for first, second, and third place teams in gross and net. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, chance to win Cleveland irons, a Kindle Fire, and a $500 VISA card. You can buy mulligans for $5.

Registration deadline is Thursday, June 13.

Ski Museum of Maine Golf Classic

We are two weeks away from the Ski Museum of Maine Golf Classic. We hope you will be able to join us on Monday, June 10 at Nonesuch River Golf Course in Scarborough.

There are still several playing slots available, players of all abilities are welcome, if you don’t have a foursome yourself, sign up as an individual and we can partner you with other players. After the round, join us for lunch, a silent auction, awards and networking.

Everyone who plays will receive a $10 gift card to golfsmith.com and a certificate for a Warrior golf club. There will several other giveaways during the day.

Door prizes to include rounds of golf to Spring Meadows, Kezar Lake, Cape Neddick, Fox Ridge, Poland Spring, Sebasco Harbor, Willowdale, Province Lake and Sable Oaks; Portland Sea Dog tickets; $25 gift card to Golf & Ski Warehouse.
