Gov. Paul LePage has broken his promise to pay the state’s hospitals what is owed by the state. The Maine Legislature had a plan, the governor had to have it his way. What else is new?
Maybe now those who followed him blindly will see him for what he is and not re-elect him.
It would help if the billionaires and millionaires were to pay their fair share of federal taxes that could then be shared with the states, maybe Maine would not be so short of funds.
How many times do people have to be slapped in the face before they wake up? It reminds me of a time in history when the Romans would go to the houses of the poor to take tax money, but not take from their own pockets.
That is what is happening now. The people keep giving but the governor and other Republicans have to have things their way; they never compromise. Are they not accountable for anything?
