STONEHAM — The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Hannah F. Richardson Tent No. 19 of Stoneham held their monthly meeting May 22 at the Community Room.

Department of Maine DUVCW president Elsi Bonney was there as a guest.

It was voted to keep the time of the meetings at 6:30 p.m.

A memorial held in memory of all deceased members of Tent 19 was conducted by chaplin pro tem Elaine Lagueux. A flower was placed on the altar as each member’s name was read.

Sylvia Grover furnished the mystery prize which was won by Elaine Lagueux.

Lagueux and Grover were presented with a birthday cake which was shared by all.

Descendants of the Richardson family were in attendance at the memorial graveside service on May 19 to honor Civil War veteran Almon Richardson.

There will be no meeting in June because of Department Convention on June 29 in Waterville. The next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the same location.
