LEWISTON — Michael J. Biker, 65, of Lewiston died at d’Youville Pavilion on Monday, June 3, after a long illness.

He was born March 29, 1948, the son of Adolph and Blanche (Delekto) Biker, both previously deceased. Mike grew up in Auburn graduating from Edward Little High School in 1966. He attended Central Maine Vocational Technical Institute studying mechanical drafting.

Mike had a gift for relating with young people. He worked in the Head Start program for a number of years, then went on to work with young adults at the Pineland Hospital and Training Center.

Mike will be remembered for his multiple talents. He played bass guitar with several rock and roll bands in the 1960s and 1970s. He loved working on cars and motorcycles, building many motorized trikes from VW parts and enjoying them with his “biker” friends. For years, Mike participated in pool tournaments throughout the area.

Mike was a devoted father to his son, Mike Jr., who passed away this past April; and adored his grandchildren, Ethan, Brenden and Averie of Lewiston; he also leaves one brother, Bill and wife, Jenni, of Lunenburg, Mass.; and was predeceased by a brother, Jim of Leominster, Mass.
