Ralph Staples, of Chelsea, has been a passionate nature and landscape photographer for many years. He has studied with professional photographers at the New England Institute of Professional Photography, the Nikon School of Photography, and recently with the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. He has also studied with nature photographer John Shaw.

Staples is a member of the Maine Professional Photographers Association and Professional Photographers of America, and is active with the Capital Area Camera Club. His work has been recognized with Maine Professional Photographers Association awards, published in calendars, brochures, travel books, and trade magazines, and shown in photo exhibits.

Julia Gleason has been painting since 2004 and founded Julia Gleason Artworks in 2012. She works with acrylic paint and black ink to create abstract images on canvas.

A Maine native, she grew up in the midcoast area and now resides in Lewiston, where she works at CMMC. Her other talents include cooking, art, writing poetry, and playing guitar and other instruments. For more information about Gleason, visit www.juliagleasonartworks.com
