Second Congre. summer hours
NORWAY — Beginning Sunday, June 9, the Second Congregational Church, UCC of Norway will hold worship services at 9 a.m. These new summer worship hours will continue through August. The church business office will be open from 9 a.m until 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
Rev. Dick Bennett of Bridgton will conduct the worship services on June 9 and June 16. Rev. Anita White of Auburn will conduct worship on June 23.

Rabbi Katzir speaks at Calvary
LEWISTON — Calvary United Methodist Church welcomes guest speaker Rabbi Hillel Katzir at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday, June 9.
During the summer months, while Rev. Casey Collins is on sabbatical, the church will venture into new areas.
At this week’s service, Katzir will offer the children’s message and the sermon. Fellowship will follow the service.
At noon, story-telling for all ages will be on the front steps of the church at 59 Sabattus St.

‘Zen of Baseball’ is sermon topic
NORWAY — Join the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Norway at 11 a.m. on June 9 as its minister, Rev. Fayre Stephenson, offers a service titled “The Zen of Baseball.”
Using NYU President John Sexton’s new book, “Baseball as a Road to God,” as the text, this service will be an exploration of the deeper spiritual dimensions of life experienced through our national pastime.
The church is at 479 Main St. Childcare is provided and social hour follows the service.
Wendell Calder to preach
AUBURN — Marston’s Corner Baptist Church, 752 Beech Hill Road, is proud to have world-known evangelist Wendell Calder preaching starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 14.
The church will host a free spaghetti Saturday followed by Mr. Calder preaching. He will also preach at the 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday services.
The public is welcomed to attend.
Campfire and singalong
SUMNER — Campfire and singalong will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 21, at The Congregational Church of East Sumner, 50 Main St., Route 219.
On Saturday, June 22, a beanhole bean supper will take place at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults, family maximum of $20. Raffle items available. Proceeds benefit the Community and Outreach Missions of the church. For information call Linda at 388-2263 or Cyndy at 388-2667.
Kingdom Rock Bible school
FARMINGTON — Kingdom Rock vacation Bible school will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. July 8-12 at Farmington Baptist Church, 194 Whittier Road.
The theme is an epic adventure that empowers kids to stand strong for God. Here, God’s victorious power isn’t a fairy tale; it changes kids forever. Children will explore God’s word, sing songs, play games at the “Palace Playground,” see Bible truths in action at Imagination Station and more.
