James McAleer, owner of the Red Sox, will make happy tonight a crippled boy in Farmington who has been an ardent Red Sox rooter, when he presents him one of the baseballs that won the world championship. On the ball will be inscribed the autographs of all the champs who have made the Red Sox famous. The trip was outlined as a fishing expedition to “Harmony Lodge” at Clearwater Lake but when President McAleer learned of the crippled boy, who had bet his last dollar on the Red Sox winning the world’s championship, he determined to make his life happier. The recipient of the ball, a stable boy, follows the ball games with the utmost interest. On the ball, Speaker, Wood, Carrigan, Johnson, Hooper, Wagner, Hall, McAleer and others have written their names.
