This is in response to the letter from Norman Smith, printed May 26.
I just want to point out that it was America’s war, not George W. Bush’s war. When it came time to vote on the war against Iraq, 81 Democrats in the U.S. House voted yes, joined by 29 Democrats in the Senate. Included were John Kerry, Tom Daschle, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Harry Reid, Chris Dodd and Jay Rockefeller.
A Pew Research Center poll in 2003 indicated that 72 percent of the American public supported Bush.
President Barack Obama and Clinton should be charged with dereliction of duty in regard to the incident in Benghazi. They lied to the families who lost their sons, and to the nation. Then they tried to cover it up.
This nation did not become great by lies.
Wake up, America.
