AUGUSTA (AP) — Augusta police are looking for a city man they say sent a 35-year-old woman to the hospital with several stab wounds.

Police said they responded to a York Street home at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday where they found the victim suffering from multiple lacerations to her head and face.

She was flown to a Lewiston hospital for treatment. Her name was not released.

Police say 44-year-old David Delesline left the scene before police arrived. He is wanted on a charge of elevated aggravated assault.

Police ask that anyone with information about Delesline’s whereabouts contact them.
