FARMINGTON — Funeral services for Leatrice O. Orr were held Tuesday afternoon at Old South Congregational Church, Farmington, with the Rev. Dr. Richard Waddell, AHCH Hospice chaplain, officiating. Patricia Hayden was the organist and soloist Jane Parker sang Leatrice’s favorite hymn, “Shall We Gather at the River?” Patricia played an organ interlude, “Deep River,” arranged by Joel Hayden. Her college roommate, Margaret Choate, offered remembrances. Rev. Waddell shared remembrances from many of her retired colleagues, including longtime friend, Fran Hardy. Pall bearers were her son, David Orr; and grandchildren, Jason Orr, Jessie Orr Merrill, Scott Orr, Brian Orr and Kevin Orr. Following the blessing, the congregation was asked to listen to Daniel O’Donnell’s version of “I’d Live My Life Over With You,” as requested by her husband, Raymond. All were welcomed to a family reception in the church vestry, hosted by the Old South Hospitality Committee. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center, Farmington. Private family committal services will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Farmington.
