PORTLAND — Judi Weeks, 56, of Canton Point Road, Dixfield, passed away on Sunday June 16, at Maine Medical Center following a brief battle with cancer.

She was born in Hartland, Jan. 21, 1957, a daughter of Ben and Pauline A. (Blanchard) Weeks.

Judi was educated in Dixfield schools and was a graduate of Dixfield High School, Class of 1975. She later attended the University of Maine at Augusta, where she received her bachelor’s degree in business and accounting.

She was employed for many years with Food City in Mexico and also taught at Mountain Valley High School and Buckfield High School. Judi also worked for First Light Counseling in the River Valley.

Judi’s greatest passion in life was animals, especially cats. She also loved reading, listening to country music and cooking.

Surviving are her mother, Pauline A. Weeks of Dixfield; a son, Daniel P. Carrier Jr. and wife, Jessica E., of Peru; daughter, Angela Veilleux and husband, Raymond, of Chelsea; brother, Thomas W. Weeks and wife, Paula F., of East Amherst, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Justin Jasper, Elizabeth Jasper, Jessica Carrier, Andrew Veilleux and Jarren Veilleux; a niece, Kristin Weeks; and nephew, Joshua Weeks.

She was predeceased by her father.
