LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are investigating four motor vehicle burglaries that are believed to have occurred early Tuesday morning. Among the items stolen were cash, an iPod, a wallet, pepper spray, an inhaler and a package of Orbit gum.

The burglaries were reported Tuesday, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Wednesday.

Three vehicles were unlocked and the other was reported to be locked, he said. In one case, the glove compartment was cleaned out.

The burglaries occurred on Depot, Baldwin and High streets and Hillcrest Road.

Steward and officer Daniel Chabot are handling the investigation.
