NORWAY — Dolores “Dodie” Morton Cawthon, 82, of Norway died on Tuesday, June 18, at her home.

She was born in South Portland, May 1, 1931, the daughter of Frederick and Ellen Johnson Shaw. She graduated from South Portland High School, Class of 1949 and attended Northeastern University. She married George Paul Cawthon on April 4, 1987.

She had been employed in the office at McAuley and in the admitting office at Mercy Hospital. She was a member of the Norway Country Club. She was a volunteer at Oxford Hills Food Pantry, she enjoyed helping friends as well as working in her gardens and around her yard.

She is survived by a son, David D. Morton of Saco; two daughters, Deborah Eicher of Otisfield and Dawn Morton of Limington; and a grandchild, Leah Morton of Tulsa, Okla.

She was predeceased by her husband in 2006.
