Are they kidding me? The Auburn City Council wants the School Committee to decrease its budget by possibly closing some schools, outsourcing bus drivers, and students would have to pay to play?

The present Council is spending the taxpayers’ money on leasing a double skating arena; there is an over-abundance of decorative street lamps; and all the landscaping of several median strips, intersections and many parks. That is just to name a few.

The city needs to take care of the youth — they are the future. The city does enough outsourcing; keep city jobs in this city.

And, yes, I did vote in the recent referendum.
