This is in response to the article, June 14, about the dog that got umpteen BB pellets shot at it, all over its body. The story brought tears to my eyes and, yes, it had a wonderful ending in that the poor dog was adopted by a kind family. But that doesn’t excuse what that awful man did to that poor dog.

Why is the question. What did that innocent young dog do to that man for him to do such a terrible thing? I wonder how he would feel if someone did the same thing to him, or someone he loved?

I hope and pray that he gets hard punishment for his cruelty to that poor dog. I am sure other animal lovers would agree with me when I say that the same thing should be done to him, but that wouldn’t be right. I just hope he doesn’t get away with it; and no animals for him ever again.

The new owners should be thanked for saving that dog and giving it a new, loving life. I am sure the dog will show its love in many ways.
