1914 – 2013

NORWAY —  Dora B. Shields, R.N., 99, of Mechanic Falls, died Thursday, June 20, at Stephens Memorial Hospital, Norway.

She was born in Littleton, on March 16, 1914, the daughter of Norman and Olive (Stillman) Craig, graduated from Cony High School in Augusta, Class of 1931, and from Augusta General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1934.

Dora was married in Augusta on Dec. 24, 1941 to Richard W. Shields, who died in Portland in 1979.

Survivors include her daughter, Catherine Shields of Portland; and a son, Robert C. Shields of Mechanic Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
