RUMFORD — Girl Scouts of Maine will offer “It’s Your Story – Tell It! Series” in the Rumford/Mexico area. The four-week program is free and open to all girls who are entering grades 4-6 and will be held mornings once a week in July.

Whether girls want to lead a rock band or win a gold medal, this series will help girls take center stage, grow their stories, feel stronger, walk taller and gain confidence.

Girls will become aware of how stereotypes could hold themselves and others back from trying on roles, and how they might take action to help stop stereotypes.

Girls will learn just how many roles are open to them in the world and how many possibilities await them.

Space is limited. Preregistration is necessary by July 5.
