LISBON FALLS — William “Bill” J. Barrett, 91, of Woodland Avenue, Lisbon Falls, died Wednesday, June 19, at his home.

He was born in Lisbon Falls, May 12, 1922, a son of the late Peter and Pauline (Baker) Barrett. He was educated in local schools and then went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater.

Bill married the former Helen Ruby on June 25, 1955. He worked for many years at the Worumbo Mill. Bill loved the outdoors, working on his gardens, hunting and fishing.

He leaves his wife of 58 years, Helen Barrett of Lisbon Falls; special nieces and nephews who helped in many ways, Brenda Field, Carl Houston and Albert Laprise; and many other nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Madeline Tupper; and three brothers, Roland, Bernard and Donald Barrett.
