RANGELEY — On June 1 there was a very special night at the Rangeley Guides and Sportsmen Club put on by Ken Beaulieu. The event was Casting for Recovery.

Thirteen ladies who are fighting cancer and their guides went fishing for the day at different places. One lady had a fly-in.

A roast beef dinner with all the fixings was prepared for them by chef Dave Borman and his crew.

The ladies and their guides told stories of the day with great joy and laughter. The women received gifts and flowers from the Sportsmen Club’s members.
