Nature Club trip to Portland
OXFORD — The Twin Town Nature Club will meet at 9 a.m. Monday, July 1, in the Walmart parking lot, south side near Route 26, and proceed to the Landscaping Garden at Back Cove, Portland.
If time permits, the club will also explore the trails of the Baxter Woods.

Lewiston Bridge Club winners
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners of the quarterly club championship at the Lewiston Armory on June 24 were as follows: first/second tie, Richard Allen and Richard Balian with Tom Goodwin and Mike Quinn; third, Cindy Kirchherr and Jim Krainin; fourth, Mary Trafton and Luke Merry; first in B and C, Cindy Kirchherr and Jim Krainin; second/third tie in B, Ellie and George Wigton with Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer.
Winners of the quarterly club championship on June 25 were: first, Nancy Lindgren and Richard Balian; second, Patricia Quinn and Mike True; third, Jan Arey and Jeanine Kivus; fourth, Nancy Farmer and Mike Quinn; first/second tie in B and C, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe with Donna Bartlett and Sue Kaluzynski.
Games are played every Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 754-1431 for more information.
Old Fashion Bean Supper
PARIS — The First Baptist Church of Paris will hold an Old Fashion Bean Supper on Saturday, July 6, beginning at 5 p.m.
There will be several types of home-baked beans, homemade casseroles, brown bread, biscuits and pickles, along with hot dogs, beverages and assorted homemade desserts. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children.
The suppers are held the first Saturday of every month from May through September.
