JAY — On June 12 the Daughters of Isabella Circle 677 from St. Rose of Lima held their June business meeting. Chancellor Lauriann Castonguay led the group in the recitation of the rosary. The meeting was called to order at 6:40.

Filling in for Amy Newman was Gina Labbe, in for Dora Nickless was Rita Crowley, in for Irene Castonguay was Fern Doiron, in for Louise Buzzell was Vicki Cunningham, in for Jackie Castonguay was Denise Soucy, in for Bea Moreau was Marilyn Bouroin, Father Tom was excused, Musican Louise Parker was absent.

Regent Denise Rodzen reported that she did not receive any mail from International. Scribe Kim Couture reported what she had put in the newspapers.

It was discussed that raffle items are needed for the Fall Bazaar, which will be held on Oct. 5.

Get-well cards were sent to Bea Moreau, Joan Louzier, Rosalee St. Pierre, Morie Gosee Castonguay and Dora Nickless.

A Belgian waffle breakfast was planned for June 23, put on by the Tri-Town Ministry.

Regent spoke about the 40/40 club. Gina Labbe said that she was approached by someone to have a float in the Blueberry Festival Parade. Fern Doiron was nominated as chairwomen for the float and Kim Couture was nominated co-chairwomen.

Regent spoke about a blue candle she received at the convention. The blue candle is to be lit at the meetings in remembrance of deceased members.

There were no new applications for membership.

Marilyn Bouroin spoke about making a banner for the Daughters to hold when participating in a parade. An invitation was received from Edward Clifford, Kyle Doustou and Brad Morin for The Ordination to the Order of Deacon to be conferred. A thank-you card was received from Phil and Amy Newman, Good Neighbor Tri-Town Fuel Assistance and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 10 for helping with the Girls State.

Regent showed the group an award the Daughters received at the convention for the scrapbook that Kim Couture and Amy Ouellette-Newman made of all the things that the Daughters participated in from May 2012 through April 2013. The Daughters received the Cross & Crown Award, the highest award to be won. The book was 46 pages. Any Daughter wishing to see it can do so at the business meetings or the monthly socials. The photo albums will be out so everyone can see them.
