AUBURN — The First Universalist Church of Auburn has awarded two 2013 Rose Window honors to longtime members whose efforts have made a significant impact on the health and vibrancy of their church.
The annual award cites members who have been outstanding models of Unitarian Universalist principles and recognizes their exceptional contributions to the faith community.
One award was presented to Jim and Diane Chaplin of Auburn. The Chaplins, whose son grew up in the congregation, have been involved in fundraising and financial stewardship of the church. Even at a time of personal crisis, the Chaplins honored their commitment to the annual fundraising drive.
A second award was given to Nina and David Lindley, formerly of Auburn. Nina has given years of service to the Religious Exploration program and the choir, and David assisted with financial stewardship, as well as with his culinary talents.
